Help Ukrainian Photographers Dasha & Mari
In the previous iteration of this site two years ago, almost to the month, I interviewed two award-winning photographers (twin sisters) Dasha and Mari. They made their home in London, but are originally from Ukraine. Their photos have appeared in Elle, Playboy, and Vogue Italia, and so I felt honored when they allowed me to interview them and publish some of their amazing work.
I’m sure many of you are well aware of the pogrom launched by Russian President Vladimir Putin against the people of Ukraine. They are being mercilessly hunted and murdered by the military forces of the Russian government. This unjustified massacre has been condemned by the international community as well as Russian citizens themselves. Putin has destroyed the homes, businesses, and lives of Ukrainians. His thirst for war and blood knows no bounds.
Dasha and Mari were fortunate enough to have made their way to Germany, while their parents and brother remain trapped in Kyiv. I know that many of you have been donating to the cause of freedom for the Ukrainian people, but I ask that you help these women and their family as well. You can contact them at dashamariart@gmail.com and they will instruct you on how to send your donation. My bank recommended Wise, which is how I sent my donation. Your bank may recommend that you do the same, but contact Dasha and Mari first so that your donation doesn’t get lost.
Thank you all for your time and kind consideration.
