Tara Babylon in Bloom

The weather here in the American Northeast is beginning to cool, but many of us are preparing our wardrobes for when the warm temperatures return next year (unless, of course, you’re someone who’s fortunate enough to reside where the temps are always warm). Nothing here in the U.S. of A. says “spring” more than groundhogs and flowers in bloom, so when you see the latter poking their meadow-green leaves through the soil’s surface, you know it’s time to stock your wardrobe with the latest offerings from Tara Babylon.

I fell in love with the British-Iraqi designer’s Winter Babylon collection from the previous season. Tara’s spring/summer collection of soft pastel colors and floral prints is created with stunning breathable cotton and linen. Each creation is a handwoven comfort-focused design that evokes a feeling of anticipation for longer, warmer days. You can almost imagine the scent of fresh flowers, the feel of the sun on your face, and the whisper of the ocean’s tide on the sand.

For a long time, I’ve always had a habit of uploading every photograph I was sent by either photographers, artists, musicians, or fashion PR. But when you see such alluring content, you want the world to see it all at once. Tara Babylon’s creations (and outstanding photographers) are totally badass. Her designs at this season’s New York Fashion Week are to die for, and I think you’ll agree.

We all love a pleasant surprise, and fashion week events provide that experience. You could hear audible gasps as Tara’s models sauntered across the floor displaying Tara’s glamorous haberdashery. The event was truly a sight to behold!
