La Metamorphose

La Metamorphose billowed into the world of fashion with a wave of beauty and femininity. Inspired by the French poet Sully Prudhomme (“L’Ame”), polish designers Malgorzata Szczesna and Eva Gawkoska captured their passion in a tribute to all women through their visionary art of design at the Paris Haute Couture Fashion Week Spring Summer 2020 entitled “Les Couleurs de L’Ame Collection”.

On the runway, it is obvious that their successful mission to capture luxury and elegance came from the influences of their childhood visits to Paris, as expressed by the designers that they “…observed the elegance and nobility of women's attire...” and conveyed the balances of sight, sound and touch into their designs vis-à-vis a passion for creation and the needs of women all around the world.

Malgorzata and Eva played a meticulous game of pick-a-boo with your senses using French tule, chiffon, silk, satin and taffeta in a flurry of transparent and sinuous fabric in pastels and turquoise; captivating their viewers into not wanting to blink in fear of missing every detail. Embroidered flowers, fringes and designs were placed delicately to stir your imagination, yet, demurely to secure the honor of the wearer. A warmth emanated from the designers’ choice of colors, filling the room with feelings of beauty, romance and sensuality in the way each piece accentuated and complimented the woman’s curves and delicate areas, including the shoulders. In the final piece, the wedding dress unveiled the perfectly combined delicacy and power of a confident, yet mysterious, women.

In attendance were both Miss France 2020, Clémence Botino, and Miss France 2019, Vaimalama Chaves, who graced the audience with song at the end of the show.
